i want to go to the outer banks in 2 weeks where should i go ...wat lil place..corolla,kittyhawk???ect i need a big house 4 a resonablale price,dog,and pool ... please help

When I went to the Outer Banks in '04, two of my favorites were the Diamond Shoals Restaurant and the Buxton Munch. There was also an ice-cream shop located at a fork in the road, along Hwy 12, across from a place with the name "Bilbo's" in it. I forget the ice-cream shop's name, so when you respond about favorite restaurants, can you tell me the name of the ice-cream shop, too? Just to narrow down the area I'm asking about...from Nags Head and into Ocracoke.

My kids and I take crab pots with us each year on our vacation to the Outer Banks, and we've tried various times over the summer, but never seem to really get a load of crab. Being from MD, I do know how to crab, so yes, the bait is right, and the pots are right and they are in the right kind of water. I'm figuring I'm not hitting the season right. Anyone know the best time to go?

Looking for the average weather (rain, mostly sun, etc.) and temps - both water and air - for Outer Banks, NC for the last week of May. Thanks.
